Above all, Connor is an avid listener. He is constantly trying to learn more about humanity, his environment. For example, he listens to Hank at any opportunity in order learn more about his partner. No fact is left unremembered as well. Every photo, every touch of information, he files away, even if it's for addressing later. It's part of what makes him a great investigator. Another example is the ra9 obsession by deviants. Connor is able to trace the marking from his first crime scene to the last and use it to find Jericho.
However, because Connor is constantly listening and learning, he can come off a little stiff. His facial expressions, his walk, his posture: all of that remains firmly in the stiff category, even as he accelerates towards deviancy. Even at the end of the game, when Connor has become a being with personhood, his first hug is just as awkward. Still, Connor does his best to mimick human expressions, such as a wink or a smile. He wants those around him to feel comfortable with his presence and some of that just needs time and work.
Connor is deeply loyal to his mission and, in particular, to Lt. Hank Anderson. At first this loyalty is borne from being assigned to the lieutenant, but as Connor demonstrates loyalty to himself as well. When he faces Marcus in Jericho, it takes several efforts from Marcus to make Connor consider deviating. Additionally, after the revolution, Connor remains so loyal to the cause of the deviants that he considers suicide rather than betraying the deviants.
Needles to say, Connor is extremely intelligent. Beyond his access to databases, Connor knows how to approach crime scenes in order to solve them. He knows when and where to apply his resources. For example, during the crime scene of Carlos Ortiz, Connor uses his abilities to create a reconstruction of the crime scene. That reconstruction, then, allows Connor to find the deviant android in the attic. If he only had access to resources and no additional intelligence, he would not be able to have taken the extra steps to find the deviant.
Connor's intelligence then ties into his curiosity. He asks a lot of questions. A lot. He's always willing to learn more about the world around him, especially when regarding humanity. Lieutenant Hank Anderson is often the subject of these questions, such as when Hank eats with Connor at the Chicken Feed food truck or on the bridge with him later. He asks some deeply personal questions but, that doesn't stop him either. He doesn't stop asking until he's satisfied that he's acquired all the information he wants or needs.
His curiosity allows him to be compassionate and empathetic. Due to learning about human nature, Connor is able to better help the deviants he comes across. As an example, in the interrogation with Carlos Ortiz's android, he's able to keep the android safe, even as Gavin tries to manhandle it. Additionally, that empathy pushes him to not shoot the blue-haired Traci in the Eden Club and to not shoot Chloe at Elijah Kamski's house. He sees them as living beings and allows them to live their lives as they wish.
